Discipline

Judicial DisciplineJudicial Discipline is a rarely-used form of discipline developed in order to control the more unruly members of the teenage populace of Rockbridge. All individuals between the ages of eight and twenty-one years are subject to the judicial system of Rockbridge.
Judicial punishments should be exceedingly rare, with one happening every two or three months at the most. If you want one, you will need to request it from one of the administrators, who play the entire judicial review board (in order to help control the judicial review process a bit more and streamline it). If you have questions, the only appropriate place to ask these questions is by contacting one of us privately via e-mail or personal message. Please also be aware that the entire contents of this page are intended to help you. You should read this carefully if you plan on trying out a judicial punishment. Since there aren't any available to read on the site right now, you're flying blind. Use this to help you to understand how serious they can be! Concerns and ConsiderationsWhether or not your child or teen character has a judicial review is determined by three things:
All three of these factors must be in alignment before you can receive a judicial review for your character. The admin team must agree that the character(s) in question fit the profile of a child or teen who would become involved in the behavior that results in the judicial review, the admins must agree to administer a judicial review and punishment (as they are very time consuming and sometimes we just don't want to!) and you have to want one in the first place. We will never force one on you! These are very hard punishments! We very highly recommend that you do not push a child or teen character into a judicial punishment if he or she does not currently have a family to call his or her own. The officers administering these punishments don't pick your kid up when it's over. They don't offer hugs and reassurance. They provide a bath robe and a bottle of water. A doctor will administer some pain medication and a social worker will provide some herbal remedies to help jumpstart healing. And yes, there will be healing. This is as brutal as it gets. Kids walk out of judicial punishments with cuts, welts and bruises serious enough to keep them out of school for a week. So think seriously before you ask for this type of thread. You probably don't actually want it.
