Physical Discipline

Alternative Physical DisciplineAlternative Physical Discipline refers to those traditional forms of discipline that are not flagellation but which may be considered traditional. These disciplines aren't used commonly in the real world in the twenty-first century, but are embraced at Southern Comfort and in Rockbridge. Please note that some of these punishments require incredible trust on the part of both parties involved in this sort of discipline and that these types of discipline may in some cases be used very sparingly (with the exception of mouth soaping, which is considered relatively conventional).
Please note that these punishments generally require a great deal of trust between the people employing them or having them used on them and that you need to establish this or use strong negotiation techniques before using alternative physical discipline or pushing to receive it. We use the following forms of alternative physical punishments, which can be used to varying degrees of harshness. This should be considered when applying them. The codes have been given for the lowest code level at which this form of discipline should be used. Enemas in particular can be made harsher depending on the way that they are mixed and the amount of water used.
Please note that as of right now we have determined that these punishments should only be administered by parents. This is a rare case that excludes the ability of a guardian to make a decision unless that guardian is biologically related to the child or teenager. Guardians at the group homes aren't eligible to use these punishments, as they cross some major boundaries and may cause trauma to the children receiving them. No teacher or support staff member may use these punishments either!
